MONITORING LOW LEVELS OF FORMALDEHYDE IN AMBIENT AIR
Formaldehyde is a colorless gas with a pungent odor. This contaminant can cause all types of allergic reactions and health issues, e.g. sore throat, skin irritation, nausea, scratchy eyes and cough. Formaldehyde is also known and classified as a highly carcinogenic compound. Exposure to moderate amounts of formaldehyde has been linked to cancer, such as leukemia.
